Swiftwater Awareness

The minimum training for anyone who works or plays near, on or in moving water. This course introduces students to the skills necessary to deal with moving water situations. The emphasis is on the identification of hazards, self rescue and the use of basic river rescue gear. This is a theoretical session only, with no on-river component.

Duration: 1/2 day in the classroom (4 hours)
