Our Technical Rescue Academy brings together a series of courses - taught by top instructors - all in one central location - and specifically designed for fire fighters, search and rescue volunteers, and industrial safety and rescue personnel. Some of these courses are being offered for the first time in Canada! Whether you are hoping to gain employment in the emergency response field, or you’re a seasoned veteran - you’re sure to find a course that will expand your operational range.

Rescue from Vehicles in Water: 1 day

Medical Considerations in Rope Rescue: 1 day
This is a brand new seminar from Raven Rescue that will be offered for the first time during the Technical Rescue Academy. It will provide a bridge between technical rescue and first aid for emergency responders, providing an overview of the newest thinking on rope-related injuries and medical considerations. Confined Space Awareness: 4 hours

Pro Board Preparation Session: 1 day
See general info about ProBoard evaluations on our website. This course is a one day review and prep session to prepare candidates for evaluation. It will review both swiftwater and high angle rope techniques and so is also an excellent skill refresher for veteran emergency responders. Regular price: $198

Electives Program Pricing:

• Register for both the Electives Program and the Core Basics Program and pay only $3600. That’s more than 20% off all eight courses - a savings of $1000.
• Register for the Electives Program on its own, and pay $675 - 15% off.

OPTION 3: Pro Board Evaluations in Rope and/or Swiftwater

As one of the Academy’s final offerings, we will be hosting Pro Board Evaluations for both swiftwater and technical rope skills delivered by our partner, North Vancouver District Fire and Rescue Services, a Pro Board accrediting body. Successful candidates will receive their Pro Board stamp which certifies that they have met the NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications for Swiftwater which includes Technical Rope, or if desired, just Technical Rope on its own. Consider these coveted certifications to be the cherry on the top of our month-long Technical Rescue Academy!
